Quick Setup (2 Minutes)

The fastest way to start is connecting Claude.ai via the Connectors feature:

Step 1: Create Account

Sign up free at ecosemantic.com

Step 2: Add EcoSemantic Connector

  1. Go to claude.ai/settings/connectors
  2. Click "Add custom connector"
  3. Enter the URL: https://mcp.ecosemantic.com/mcp
  4. Click "Add"
  5. When prompted, authorize with your EcoSemantic account

Step 3: Enable Tools & Start Asking

  1. Open a new chat on Claude.ai
  2. Click "Search and tools" (bottom left)
  3. Find EcoSemantic and click "Connect" to authenticate
  4. Enable the tools you want to use
  5. Ask your question:
"What's the carbon footprint of producing 1 kWh of electricity from solar in Germany?"

That's it! Claude now has access to 31+ LCA tools and 21,000+ Ecoinvent activities.

Plan Requirements

Custom connectors require Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan.

Key Concepts

Credits = What You Pay For

When your AI uses EcoSemantic (search, calculate, etc.), each operation consumes credits. The credit cost depends on the AI model tier:

Model Tier Credits per Tool Call
Fast (e.g., Haiku) 5
Mid (e.g., Sonnet) 10
Premium (e.g., Opus) 20

New accounts receive 200 welcome credits. Purchase more anytime from the dashboard.

Visual Workspace

The Workspace at ecosemantic.com/workspace is a visual LCA modeling environment built into the dashboard. It lets you:

  • Build activity graphs by dragging processes from the component library onto a canvas
  • Create and edit activities, exchanges, and projects through visual dialogs
  • Run LCA calculations and hotspot analysis directly from the graph
  • Visualize impact contribution as a Sankey diagram with ISIC category grouping, node drill-down, and lifecycle stage coloring
  • Validate your model in a real-time validation panel
  • Share live sessions β€” generate a link or QR code so collaborators or an audience can watch your workspace in real time at /live/<share-id> (no login required for viewers)
